Migration of mineral oil aromatic hydrocarbon (MOAH) from hot melt adhesives used in food packaging materials

چکیده

This article studies the migration of MOAH from hot melt adhesives used in multilayer laminates into food simulants. First, initial concentration a group compounds selected as markers several was determined by headspace solid phase microextraction coupled to gas chromatography mass spectrometry (HS-SPME-GC-MS), using previously optimised method. Then, fraction and studied. The analysed with flame ionisation detection (GC-FID), were HS-SPME-GC-MS. Twelve detected, their concentrations between 0.46 33.8 μg g-1. Only eight identified after migration, ranging 0.62 21.33 dm-2, percentage 12–75%. that migrated eluted mainly C16-C25 range reached 19.65 dm-2 laminate.

Evaluation of mineral oil saturated hydrocarbons (MOSH) and mineral oil aromatic hydrocarbons (MOAH) in pure mineral hydrocarbon-based cosmetics and cosmetic raw materials using

Mineral hydrocarbons consist of two fractions, mineral oil saturated hydrocarbons (MOSH) and mineral oil aromatic hydrocarbons (MOAH). MOAH is a potential public health hazard because it may include carcinogenic polycyclic compounds. In the present study, 400 MHz nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy was introduced, in the context of official controls, to measure MOSH and MOAH in raw ma...

Food Sci., 27: 293–299. p-Nonylphenol (NP) is widely used in many industrial applications (detergents, latex paints, pesticides, and plastics), and its presence in the environment has acquired an increasing concern since it was shown to be, besides its...

Identification and Analysis of the Migration of Primary Aromatic Amines from Flexible Food Packaging by High-performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)

Background and Objectives: Primary Aromatic Amines (PAAs) are contaminants that can migrate from food flexible packaging. The main origin of these compounds is polyurethane adhesives used in the laminating process of multilayer films. Residual aromatic di-isocyanates of the reaction of adhesive polymerization migrate into the food, and are hydrolyzed to PAAs by the moisture of food. 2,4- and 2,...
